I’m Ankit Kujur

I am a live sound engineer and event production specialist with a strong interest in how sound shapes experiences and influences people. My experience in live events has shown that effective sound relies on planning, troubleshooting, collaboration, and sound decision-making under pressure, not just equipment. Challenges often teach as much as flawless shows. Through this website, I share practical insights and lessons from real-world events, highlighting both successes and setbacks.

Since 2016, I have worked in the events industry as a freelancer and touring engineer with bands and artists, as well as for production houses, event agencies, and rental companies. Since May 2024, I have served as an ITS Event Support Engineer at Amazon, providing technical support for large-scale corporate events. My responsibilities include managing live events, overseeing audiovisual systems, and ensuring smooth technical operations for complex productions.

My philosophy: Ensure attendees connect with the event and are not distracted by technical issues.

How it started

My journey into audio began on stage, not behind a mixing console. Before working in live sound and events, I played bass in Elemental, a death metal band from Bhopal, India. While I started as a musician, I soon became interested in the technical aspects of sound, which led me to explore recording software, audio consoles, sound systems, and the science of hearing.

Personal Life

My interests include reading, watching pro wrestling, and collecting music in physical formats such as CDs, cassette tapes, and vinyl records. I am also passionate about fish-keeping and enjoy creating and maintaining aquariums.

I share my life with Juno, my Labrador, who is an important part of my family. As an introvert, I prefer a small circle of close friends. I especially enjoy spending time with my fiancée. We cook together, discover new recipes, and relax with a good movie at the end of the day.
